These terms are the agreement between you and My Web Presence ("we", "us") for the use of this website and the profile pages it publishes. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and old enough to enter into a contract in your country if you are using the service for business.

  • Give accurate registration details and keep your email address current - it is how we reach you about security and account matters.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself, and turn on two-factor authentication if your page matters to your work.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
  • One person or organisation per account. Do not share logins.

Your profile address

Your profile lives at a web address you choose, such as mywebpresence.in/your-name. A few rules apply to it:

  • Some words are reserved for the service itself and cannot be claimed.
  • You can change your address, but only once every 30 days. Your previous address redirects to the new one so shared links keep working.
  • Addresses are first come, first served. Registering addresses you do not intend to use, in bulk, or in order to resell them, is not permitted.
  • We may reclaim an address that impersonates someone else, infringes a trade mark, or was registered in bad faith.

Your content

Everything you put on your page - your name, photo, bio, links, services and contact details - stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.

You do give us the permission we need to actually run the service: to store your content, display it on your public page, include it in the share image generated for social networks, and show it in search engine results. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups still in rotation and anything we must keep by law.

You confirm that you have the right to publish what you upload, including any photograph of yourself and any logo or trade mark you display.

Acceptable use

Do not use My Web Presence to publish or do any of the following:

  • Impersonate another person, business or public body, or suggest an endorsement or affiliation you do not have.
  • Anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that incites violence.
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content presented as belonging to someone who has not consented to it.
  • Malware, phishing pages, or links designed to deceive people about where they lead.
  • Fraudulent offers, fake investment or lottery schemes, or payment requests made under a false identity.
  • Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or privacy.
  • Bulk automated scraping of the site, attempts to break into other accounts, or anything that degrades the service for other people.

Profiles are public

A published profile is public by design. It can be opened by anyone with the link, indexed by search engines, and shown as a preview card when the link is shared on messaging apps and social networks.

Payment links

Your page can display a UPI ID and show a QR code so visitors can pay you directly. This is a convenience for displaying your own payment details, and nothing more.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the UPI details you publish, for any tax or regulatory obligation arising from what you are paid, and for resolving disputes with the people who pay you. If you receive money you were not meant to receive, that is a matter between you and the payer.

Enquiry messages

If you switch on the enquiry form, visitors can send you a message with their name, email address, phone number and text. We pass those messages to you and store them so you can read them in your dashboard.

Those details belong to the person who sent them. Use them to reply to the enquiry. Do not add them to a marketing list without that person's consent, and delete them when you no longer need them.

Availability

We try to keep the service running and reasonably quick, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, hosting failures, network problems and third-party outages all happen. We may change, add or remove features.

If we ever decide to discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data.

Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Doing so removes your profile and its content from the service.

We may suspend or remove a profile, or close an account, if it breaks these terms, if we are required to by law, or if leaving it up would put other users or the service at risk. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.

Reporting a profile

Every public profile has a "Report this page" link in its footer. If you find a page that impersonates someone, is fraudulent, or otherwise breaks these terms, please use it. We review reports and act on the ones that need acting on.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". We do not verify the accuracy of what users publish on their pages, and we make no representation about any user, business, qualification, service or payment detail shown on a profile. If you are dealing with someone you found through a profile page, do your own checks.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we make a change that materially affects your rights, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify you by email or in the dashboard. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
